Challenge: Create a promotional
video for Sixthman Management Company which
showcases their annual Rock Boat Cruise.
The Rock Boat is a five day cruise on
Carnival Cruise lines, featuring over 30
bands and a Caribbean port of call.
Sixthman needed a video to lure fans and sponsors as well as increase awareness
about their flagship event.
Solution: Although simple
in concept, The Rock Boat is hard to accurately
describe. Our goal was to convey to potential
sponsors the energy,
enthusiasm, and consumption level of patrons to create a feeling of a "can't
miss" advertising and promotional opportunity.
After five days and close to 100 hours of shooting, we decided to create a fast-paced
montage style edit using music from the bands
and solo artists on the ship. The following year sponsorship doubled, and fans
bought every cabin on the boat in less than 2 weeks time.
